Graphic design’s contributions to the public politics for the early childhood

Abstract

The objective of this article is to show how the insertion of information Design helps the practice of graphic Design to manage content that supports public policies with an emphasis on the early childhood educational process, by involving strategic information that is of interest to the actors involved, and by systematizing the experience of designing educational visual materials. Conceptual and methodological considerations are presented around the Design of a digital platform aimed at early childhood care in Mexico. The project required the participation of academics and students from the areas of graphic Design, educational processes, psychology, computer systems and educational technology and responded to a call from the National Council of Science and Technology (Conacyt, 2018) -Government of the State of Puebla. The methodology that led the Design of the platform was marked by the proposal of Tinajero et al. (2019) based on the definition of work stages, and an approach centered on those who will use the information service. The article focuses on describing the work processes that graphic designers carried out for the information Design of a complex information access project.
