Criteria to Regulate Ethical Performance of Publication

Transparency: The journal's editorial policy, peer review process, manuscript evaluation criteria, and responsibilities of editors, editorial committees, reviewers, and authors are published.

Complaints: The journal follows the procedure established in the COPE flowchart. The mechanism for making complaints involves sending an email to the journal's editor. The editor must respond promptly.

Promotion of Academic Integrity: The editor will ensure that the published research material adheres to internationally accepted ethical guidelines.

Protection of Individual Data: Editors must protect the confidentiality of individual information.

Monitoring of Inappropriate Conduct: The editor has a duty to act if they suspect inappropriate conduct (plagiarism, data fabrication, works previously published in other outlets, undeclared conflicts of interest, failure to recognize appropriate authorship, among others). The editor has a duty not only to reject articles that violate ethical standards but also to follow up on suspected cases of inappropriate conduct. This implies, first and foremost, seeking a response from the accused individuals. If unsatisfied with the response, the editor should ask employers or a regulatory body to investigate the situation. They must make all reasonable attempts to persist in obtaining a resolution to the problem.

Editorial Independence: The editor must make decisions about which articles to publish based on their quality and suitability, rather than based on economic or political benefits that might arise.

Conflict of Interest: The editor must have systems in place to manage their own conflicts of interest, as well as those of their staff, authors, reviewers, and editorial board members.

Our journal uses an academic integrity review and plagiarism detection system through Turnitin software.
